Community Safety Update – Snibston Discovery Park |

Dear Residents Today, I visited Snibston Discovery Park and worked alongside park staff to address ongoing concerns regarding the illegal use of off-road bikes within the park. The use of these vehicles on park footpaths and public areas poses a significant risk to pedestrians, families, and other park users. This behaviour not only causes nuisance and damage but also creates a dangerous environment for members of the community. Warning signs have now been installed throughout the park, making it clear that off-road bikes and other unauthorised vehicles are not permitted. Regular patrols will be carried out in the area, and anyone found riding vehicles in an antisocial or illegal manner may have their vehicle seized. The safety of our community remains our priority. Snibston Discovery Park is a place where residents, families, and children should feel safe to enjoy the outdoors without fear of injury or intimidation. We will continue to work closely with park staff and local partners to tackle this issue and keep the park a safe and welcoming space for everyone. PCSO 6596 Lynette Rose
